Paradigm Health System welcomes two new physicians to the team.
Christopher Sanchez, M.D., has been told he has “a flair for patient care.”
Thomas Myers, M.D., is focused first and foremost on taking care of his patients in pain.
The two physicians have even more in common as they both recently joined Paradigm Health System (a provider of advanced care for brain, spine and orthopedic conditions). Paradigm’s mission is to provide an extraordinary healthcare experience delivered by one of the most esteemed physician teams in the nation.
Dr. Sanchez is a comprehensive orthopedic surgeon with experience in multiple orthopedic subspecialties. Dr. Myers is a fellowship-trained interventional pain management specialist. Both are already working closely with Paradigm’s collective network of specialists to form a comprehensive plan to help patients dealing with pain.
The Paradigm Health System president has high praise for both. “Dr. Sanchez goes beyond great clinical outcomes and best-service approaches and is a phenomenally good person who thrives on being a hands-on integral part of the healing process with his patients,” says Kevin Schneider, who is also chairman of the board of Sterling Surgical Hospital.
As for Myers, his strength is in his ability to prioritize his patient’s pain over all his other responsibilities. “Dr. Myers is a perfect fit for Paradigm’s unique model of care,” Schneider says. “It allows him to put all his efforts and extensive training toward his patients’ needs. With our strong, coordinated resource support for physicians, he knows he is free to optimize the amount of time he spends with each patient visit.”
Dr. Sanchez, the son of an orthopedic physician’s assistant, completed his residency training at the prestigious Ochsner Clinic, which is nationally renowned for its intimate, intensive training environment inclusive of all orthopedic subspecialties. He says his primary goal with Paradigm Health System is to establish a thriving community practice of all-encompassing orthopedic care. He is experienced in adult reconstruction with knee and joint replacements; foot, ankle and hand surgery; and sports medicine and trauma injuries.
What distinguishes Dr. Sanchez’s level of care is his commitment to customer service and his capacity to put himself in each patient’s shoes. “No one is going to leave my office without understanding what has happened to their body and what options they have available for their care,” Dr. Sanchez says. “I want my patients to be fully educated and fully involved in all the decisions.” He believes this approach ensures better compliance with treatment recommendations and better understanding of complications and setbacks.
Dr. Sanchez wasn’t the only one to complete his residency at Ochsner. As chief resident of anesthesiology at Ochsner, Dr. Myers was recognized for his academic excellence and medical achievement by receiving the prestigious American Society of Anesthesiologists FAER Resident Scholar Grant.
He makes the most of his extensive education by forming a practice of comprehensive care that ranges from conservative treatments and responsible medical pain management to more progressive interventional pain procedures. In addition, he is experienced in the growing field of neuromodulation and minimally invasive interventional therapies. Dr. Myers is particularly interested in consulting with a patient before they seek surgical care, but he is well versed in helping patients who continue to experience pain following surgery.
“Using the Paradigm network, it’s a real advantage that I can fast track my patients to almost immediate intervention and rapid relief,” Dr. Myers says. “I’m extremely happy to share the best pain management care with my patients, and I feel fortunate to be backed by the culture of excellence at Paradigm Health System.”
Paradigm offers a multi-disciplined team of brain, spine and joint specialists employing the most advanced techniques and procedures to help patients overcome a variety of neurologic, orthopedic and chronic pain conditions such as stroke, brain aneurysm, arthritis, tumors, movement disorders, head trauma, sports injuries and spinal conditions. From initial diagnosis through treatment and rehabilitation, patients receive red-carpet care from an experienced team widely recognized for their diagnostic and therapeutic expertise.
