Keith LeBlanc
Keith LeBlanc is the co-founder and CEO of Metairie-based Millennium Healthcare Management, Inc. In 2006, Keith returned to his home in Hurricane Katrina-ravaged New Orleans with the vision of making urgent care services available in Southeast Louisiana. With his business partner, Dr. Gerry Cvitanovich, Keith founded MHM to provide a full spectrum of practice management services to urgent care and occupational medicine centers.
The company has grown to include 10 urgent care centers across Louisiana and Southern Mississippi, with several new centers in planning. Keith’s extensive background in clinical medicine and business development gives him the experience necessary to lead MHM through continued expansion.
In 1980, Keith received his bachelor’s degree in cardiopulmonary science from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. He later returned to LSU to earn his master’s degree in health science in 1986. Keith practiced respiratory therapy for six years before being recruited as Hospital Administrator and CEO of Humana Hospital in New Orleans.
In 1994, he founded Quest Group and Physician Equity MSO, a 50/50 joint venture with 13 partner physicians, where he served as CEO. Eight years after founding Quest, he joined SurgiCare Inc., an AMEX-listed company, where he orchestrated a company refinance. In addition to these ventures, Keith has also consulted for several healthcare business developments, including HealthCare Partners Medical Group, Toshiba Medical Systems Corporation and Southern Companies Surgery Center Development.
Keith and his team have remained avid supporters of Louisiana causes and nonprofit organizations, including Ride 2 Recovery, Second Harvest Food Bank and the American Diabetes Association.
Keith has been happily married to Sue LeBlanc for 25 years. He is the proud father of Keith Jr., 31, and Jade, 17, and the grandfather of Ian and Grace.
On the Biggest Challenge of Parenthood
“First and foremost is the allocation of time. And second is to be in the right frame of mind to truly listen to your children’s needs. At times, it is difficult to shut out the stresses of the workplace to accomplish this.”
On Being a Great Dad
“The most rewarding part of being a father is seeing your children successful in following their passion. My son is a skin-cancer surgeon and owner of The Skin Surgery Center, and my daughter just got accepted to the Fashion Institute for Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. We are so proud of both of them for having the discipline to work toward their goals in life.”
