Brows that Wow
Big brows are all the rage — and for good reason.
Thankfully, we’re over the anorexic plucked-and-penciled brow. Big brows made a comeback on the runways a few years ago and some of us were — rightfully so — taken aback by their caterpillar-like style. But runways are known for exaggerating the look du jour. Here in 2017, most beauty gurus have settled in and adapted the full brow to suit individual tastes and faces.
Bold brows aren’t new. Brooke Shields had them. And so did ancient Greeks. Back in the
Parthenon days, a bushy, painted-on unibrow was considered sexy. But so was body odor.
Fortunately, we’ve moved on from both.
Today, temporary brow makeup comes in everything from powder to pomades to pencils.
For a semi-permanent fix, consider microblading — a form of tattooing that doesn’t go quite as deep as a regular tattoo. Results last up to three years.
If your brows don’t have pow, consult an experienced esthetician to find out what shape works best for you. It’s all about what makes you feel beautiful. Brows are in the eyes of the beholder.
