The House of Shock is believed to be the most realistic and frightening experiences in town! It offers an outdoor stage show that includes live actors, stunts and state of the art light and pyrotechnics in addition to a full bar, food, merchandise, games and themed entertainment.

A gathering of scarecrows depicted in scenes that are humorous, scary or creative will grace City Park’s Botanical Gardens.

The Witching Hour Ball 2007 – The Howlin’ Wolf, 907 South Peters Street

The official reincarnation of past Coven Balls celebrated by Anne Rice’s Vampire Lestat Fan Club. The fan club has been reborn and this year will host a new Halloween party called “Les Temps des Vampires”. Starting at 9pm, musical guests include Anders Manga, Analog Missionary and Paul Mercer and the Ghosts Project. Proceeds from a raffle will benefit Habitat for Humanity New Orleans.

Boo at the Zoo – Audubon Park

Voodoo Music Experience – New Orleans City Park

A music-packed, three-day-long festival that features both nationally acclaimed recording artists and local favorites from many musical genres. This year’s musical line up includes: Theresa Andersson, The Smashing Pumpkins, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Wilco, The Black Crows, Dr. John, John Cleary and many more.

MOM’s Halloween Ball – The Howlin’ Wolf, 907 South Peters Street, (504) 522-WOLF

Beginning at 9pm and running into the wee hours, this is a an outlandish costume party featuring live music by Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes and the Toubab Krewe.
