Beautiful St. Stephen’s Catholic Church was the setting for the wedding of Stefanie Lynn Meier and Brian Michael Egan on the evening of October 13, 2007. nol-dec07_medres_page_60_image_0004.jpgDunn & Sonnier decorated the church in grand New Orleans style with an abundance of enchanting flowers. Guests were entertained by a wonderful string-and-brass quintet as two precious flower girls and a handsome ring bearer made their way down the aisle. The bride, escorted to the altar by her father, Mr. Max Meier, wore a magical candlelight-white strapless gown accented with delicate detailing around the waist and a floor-length train. Her seven bridesmaids were exquisitely attired in richly colored dark purple satin dresses.The nuptial ended with a special Irish blessing, followed by the reading of a joyous Papal Blessing issued directly from His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI, in Rome. A magnificent reception followed at the Grand Ballroom of the Loews Hotel. The couples’ love and affection for New Orleans was clearly evident throughout the occasion.

The lavish, well-orchestrated event was the masterful work of wedding planner Terry Cambise of A Soiree. Guests were entertained by the jubilant sounds of the Boogie Men, while the bride and groom danced their way onto the dance floor, leading a traditional New Orleans second line, complete with personalized, handmade parasols. The splendid wedding cake and huge New York Mets chocolate groom’s cake were provided by Swiss Confectionery. Photographer Oscar Rajo beautifully captured the unforgettable night. The next day, guests kept their celebratory spirit alive by attending a farewell brunch at Café Adelaide in the Loews Hotel. Entertainment was provided by Chris Burke & His New Orleans Music.
